History
- Construction: The current hall was built in 1813–1814 by Robert and Amelia Heron. The architect was Sir Jeffry Wyatville (also known as Jeffery Wyatt), a prominent figure in early 19th-century British architecture.
- Earlier Elements: The site includes 18th-century elements and service wings, with some architectural features possibly sourced from other historic halls.
- Later Uses: From 1952 to 2003, Stubton Hall served as a school for children with learning difficulties, under various names including Stubton Hall Boarding Special School. In 2006, it was converted into a hotel and wedding venue.
Architecture
- Style: The main building is constructed of gault brick with ashlar dressings and features a shallow hipped roof. The design includes a grand Tuscan portico, believed to have been relocated from Beckingham Hall, and a semi-circle of 17th-century Tuscan columns, possibly from Fenton Hall or Beckingham Hall.
